Together with my dear friend Amwo, I am hosting a week-long retreat in the midst of the Sierra de las Nieves Biosphere Reserve. We will move our bodies through a daily gentle flow, balanced by deep relaxation meditation (Yoga Nidra) and practices alike. Reconnection is the key: with our bodies, souls and source - with nature, where we’re from. We call forth a tiny tribe of trust, as sharing experiences together is so much stronger than moving along alone.

During this week long retreat we will cover a variety of practices from different traditions, ready to make your own. Relax your mind, stretch your body - the energy will flow, and inner strenght arises. Our warm and welcoming home, surrounded by Andalusian mountain ranges, will offer you time to let go, unplug and explore - full of curiosity, back to authenticity.

Program
The mornings will be active, inspired by the expansive principle of Yang. As the sun rises we will welcome our day with a gentle asana practice led by Amwo, to awaken the body and let our vital energy stream. Afternoons of freedom are the next one in the line - let your intuition be the guide. Spontaneous interventions, an optional massage, questions and answers or an extra class centered on the essential breath might fill the scheme. We will often go out to walk and talk and wander in the wild green yonder surrounding us - in the spirit of the Journey of the Like-Minds. The healing properties of the forests and fields make you naturally align; our nervous system is both of nature and attuned to it. Dip in the pool, sit by the fire, dance barefoot on the grass - which one of the elements asks you to synchronise?

When the moon rises and dusk sets in, cycles move through the energies of Yin: the feminine, the receptive and introspective. Questing transforms into resting. We will calm our bodies and ease our minds by a full hour of deep relaxation meditation, or the art of yoga nidra. An ancient technique, derived from the tantras, applied to relax consciously ánd completely. Through different phases - including visualisations, body and breath awareness - this practice turns your senses inwards, inducing deep relaxation of the physical, emotional and mental body. In this receptive, threshold state between sleep and wakefulness, contact with the subconscious and unconscious dimensions of your mind occurs spontaneously.

The food we eat will be vegetarian, local and fresh - cooked together and enjoyed alike.
